Our services allow families to move forward pragmatically and efficiently during a challenging time.
Mediation
As mediator, we serve as an independent advisor to both spouses and propose solutions that address the concerns of both parties regarding property division, income support, and child custody.

Mediation
As mediator, we serve as an independent advisor to both spouses and propose solutions that address the concerns of both parties regarding property division, income support, and child custody.
We meet with each spouse individually to understand their objectives and then meet with both spouses together to bridge any differences. A series of meetings may be required depending on the progress of negotiations.
Mediation is generally the most efficient and cost effective manner of reaching a settlement as lawyer led settlements (discussed below) tend to produce more back-and-forth due to the involvement of additional advisers.
Lawyer Led Settlement
In a lawyer led settlement, also referred to as “collaborative divorce,” each spouse engages a lawyer to negotiate on their behalf.
As your negotiator, Civil Divorce adopts a pragmatic and context sensitive approach informed by your goals and family dynamics. We pride ourselves on crafting solutions that vigorously protect your legal rights while advancing relationship and other non-economic interests.
Lawyer led settlement is a middle ground between mediation and formal court proceedings. It is an excellent option when mediation is not appropriate because of the current state of the relationship or individual preferences.
Marriage and
Cohabitation
Agreements
Married couples can enter into a marriage agreement either before or after getting married. Likewise, common law couples can enter into a cohabitation agreement either before or after cohabiting.
Marriage and cohabitation agreements can effectively manage disagreements regarding property division, income support, and child custody.
Civil Divorce recommends that clients consider entering into a marriage or cohabitation agreement to mitigate legal exposures in the event of a relationship breakdown.
