Victor Chai
Victor leverages his Bay Street training, life experience, and commercial instincts to secure results in amicable and contentious divorces alike.
Victor began his career as a corporate lawyer after graduating fifth from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2005. He was subsequently a corporate executive at Manulife Financial in Toronto where he focused on private equity transactions.
Victor has been twice “recommended” by The Legal 500 based on interviews with his clients and peers.
Victor founded Civil Divorce to offer his legal, negotiating, and financial expertise to Canadian families in transition. As a divorcee himself, Victor is sensitive to the significant personal challenges caused by divorce. He supports his clients as both a trusted advisor and legal counsel.
Victor has been called to the Bars of Ontario and British Columbia and has completed the Osgoode Certificate in Family Law Skills and Practice.
An avid skier, Victor is a long time Whistler season pass holder. He also enjoys cooking and comedy.
